T029 - Tsuba Tomoe


Tsuba -  Higō Tomoe - double comma

Description:

The tsube is made of excellent steel using the Sukashi technique. Please pay attention to the really FINE Hitsuana and the Tomoe.


The steel has a very nice brown coloring and, on closer inspection, shows remains of black Urushi lacquer. Perhaps centuries ago, the tsuba was originally dyed black as a decoration.
