Tsuba - Shoami School

Description:

The Tsuba is made in "Sukashi" technique. The motive representing two Sukashi-Style Ginger Flower. The Shōami school monks from early generations were highly trusted and honored artistic supporters of the Japanese authorities. In later generations the Goto family replaced them. The patination and color of steel of this piece is excellent and typical for these early authentic historic pieces.
